Project 25 Compliance:
P25 Common Air Interface (CAI), P25 trunked and conventional communications,
and P25 Over-the-Air-Rekeying (OTAR) functionality are all supported.
SMARTNET® II and SmartZone® Trunking Protocols:
EFJohnson is the industry's only supplier licenced to support both analog and
digital SMRTNET II and SmartZone trunking protocols. ASTRO® trunking is also
supported.
Encrypted Communications for wideband legacy systems and narrowband
operation. DES enables secure voice communications in wideband channels; P25
DES-OFB and AES encryption provide secure communication in narrowband
channels.
Multiple System Select enables users to simply change the communications
protocol from analog to digital by pressing a button. The 5100 provides for up to
500 channel/talkgroups, depending upon memory available and programming
configuration.
Compliant with Standards for Sensitive Use: the 5100 is compliant with Federal
Information Processing Standard 140-2 (FIPS 140-2).
Flexibility:
Communicate in both narrow and wideband analog channels in addition to
wideband digital. Enables programming of up to 512 channels/talkgroups..
DTMF Compatibility enables you to operate remote control devices or access
telephone interconnect systems.
Factory Mutual-approved intrinsically safe for use in hazardous areas. Meets Mil
Standard 810C, D, E, and F specifications.
PC-based Programmability: Program large volumes of radios with the click of a
mouse, using EF Johnson's PC Configure™ application - support both mobile and
portable platforms in a single configuration software package.
